Checking your physical health regularly is essential for all of us. It can positively impact our overall sense of well-being. Our minds and bodies are intricately linked, so our physical health can impact our mental health (and vice versa). Here at Cherrytree Residential Care Home, we cannot stress the importance of looking after both. We thrive to ensure we are always there for our residents and team.
Looking for ways to help your physical health? Here a few:
- Regular meals – Three main meals (plus balanced snacks) provide our residents with more energy, motivation, and better concentration. Let us not forget to stay hydrated so drink plenty of water
- Activities – We like to keep our residents extremely busy. It is crucial to us we maintain this as it stimulates the brain as well as keeping the body active – it is lots of fun too! When the weather is nice, we venture outside as some fresh air is always beneficial
- Sleep – Making sure you get enough sleep is vital for our physical and mental health. Having a routine is important for this; you should aim to go to bed and get up at similar times every day, even on weekends or during holidays so that your body can develop a healthy routine
- Check-Ups – Regular visits are made to the home to ensure our residents’ physical health is checked.
Creating a friendly, safe, and warm environment for everyone is a top priority for us. we are dedicated to being there to ensure the physical (and mental) health of everyone in our homes are constantly cared for.
